Here at B&B we have always been keen to support students in the tailoring and fashion industries. We do this by giving talks to new students, providing complimentary fabric samples to universities and colleges and offering a 10% student discount on our website. We see these students as our customers of the future and like to help however we can.<\/p>\n

As many of you may be aware around 8 years ago B&B moved their offices from Golders Green in London to sunny Southend-on-Sea in Essex. Since this move we have been particularly focused on championing local colleges and this year we are thrilled to have worked with the South Essex College University Centre<\/a>, based locally to us in Essex.<\/p>\n

Working in partnership with University of the Arts London and the University of Essex the college offers BA courses in both Fashion Design and Costume Construction. The Costume Construction course is connected to the prestigious Royal Opera House giving the students the unique opportunity to work with the best of the best.<\/p>\n

When asked by the college to assist in sponsoring the special awards for the 2018 graduation ceremony we jumped at the opportunity. Alongside the National Express Foundation, B&B have sponsored the award for Outstanding Collaboration and Achievement in Costume Construction and the award for Outstanding Creativity and Innovation in Fashion Design. We would like to express our congratulations to all graduates on these courses and particularly those who won a special award.<\/p>\n
